These terms summarize the contract between Latin Spirit and the lead traveler on a booking. They apply to every reservation made through this website or via a country specialist.

Deposit and balance

Multi-day journeys: 20% deposit at booking, 80% balance 30 days before departure. Day experiences: full payment at booking. Custom group itineraries follow a tailored payment schedule documented in the proposal.

Cancellation policy

• More than 30 days before departure: full refund minus 5% processing.
• 15 to 30 days: 50% refund or full credit toward a future booking.
• Less than 15 days: no refund. Credit toward a future booking is at our discretion.
• Day experiences: free cancellation up to 24 hours before.

Force majeure

In the event of force majeure (natural disasters, government restrictions, airline cancellations affecting the itinerary), we will work with you on rebooking, credit or partial refund based on costs already committed to local suppliers.

Insurance

Travel insurance is the traveler's responsibility and is not included in the tour price. We strongly recommend a policy that covers cancellation, medical evacuation and baggage.

Liability

We act as the lead operator and contract directly with local suppliers (hotels, transport, guides). Where suppliers cause incidents, claims are addressed jointly with the supplier under Costa Rican jurisdiction unless a different jurisdiction is agreed in writing.
